Mindful Advent Calendar:

Advent is a wonderful time for children to learn about the true spirit of Christmas (and other seasonal celebrations at this time of year). For us as a family it is important our girls really feel the magic of this time, but it is equally important we remember our core values of kindness, sustainability and mindfulness.

The biggest gift we can give each other, ourselves and our Planet Earth is time, connection, mindfulness and care without sacrificing joy and excitement.

Our Mindful Advent Calendar offers 40 cards from which you can choose the 24 that resonate most with your family. The cards are a mixture of “giving and receiving” (see images). Also included are some helpful links such as crafts instructions or recipes.

Instructions:

Print the cards out on cardboard.

Cut them out and attach to a string with pegs.

Let the children choose one card every day or do it together as a family.

Enjoy a mindful and sustainable advent full of joy and excitement.
